A Great And Easy Dinner Recipe
If you are in the mood for a home-cooked meal, but are too tired to cook a five-star dinner, your best friend
can be an easy, quick, tried-and-true favorite recipe. Quick and easy does not have to equate with boring and
bland. There are many easy dinner recipes to choose from -- there are thousands of websites dedicated to offering
easy dinner recipes.
One recipe that is a sure-fire hit for many families is meatball meatloaf -- it only requires a few simple
ingredients.
Start by gathering these ingredients: 1 lb. ground beef, half lbs. pork, half lbs. ground veal, ½ cup of onion
chopped finely, 1 shredded carrot, 1 garlic cloves (minced), 1 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. mustard (Dijon), half tsp. pepper,
half tsp. thyme, two large eggs, and half cup breadcrumbs.
Next preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Then place the breadcrumbs in milk to soften them -- this will
take a few minutes. Once they are softened pour off the excess milk. The next step is to combine the beef, pork,
and veal and mix until well-combined.
Then in the bowl with the meat add the breadcrumbs and other ingredients. Mix everything together thoroughly.
You can place it in a loaf pan or flattened on a baking pan. Bake for approximately 1 hour. You will know when it
is done when it is thoroughly browned and cooked on the inside. It tastes great with ketchup, barbecue sauce or
steak sauce. Potatoes make an excellent side dish for this meat loaf.
Another delicious and easy dinner recipe is pasta with broccoli. To make this easy dinner recipe gather pasta
(your preferred shape), 3 c. chopped broccoli, 1 TBSP. butter, four chopped garlic cloves, 1 tsp. lemon rind
(grated), one-fourth of a cup lemon juice, three TBSP. flour, one-half cup chicken stock, 2.5 cup milk, one red
pepper (sweet), Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper.
To begin preparing, boil the pasta according to the package directions. Once it is done stir in the broccoli and
let it sit for a few minutes. After the broccoli has softened a bit drain the water out with a colander and place
the broccoli -- pasta mix into a new bowl. Use the same pot to melt the butter. Once the butter has melted stir in
the garlic and chopped onion.
Cook on medium until they are a light golden color. Then lower the heat slightly and add the lemon juice and
flour and cook for about half a minute. Add the red pepper and the salt and pepper to taste and cook until the
sauce begins to thicken. Then pour over the pasta and sprinkle some Parmesan cheese on top. Mix and enjoy!
